Mateo Thode is an elite violinist and pianist based in Switzerland. Graduating with highest honors from the Conservatoire de Lausanne at just 19 years old, he stands out with a unique musical signature blending classical rigor with the freedom of contemporary styles: jazz, pop, and Latin music.
At 19, he collaborated with Mayito Rivera, a Cuban music legend and Grammy Award winner—a foundational experience that forged his musical versatility. He has performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and given more than 200 concerts and tours across Europe, including Switzerland, France, Spain, Serbia, and Poland.
Mateo leads the group Feeze, which earned acclaim at the Swiss Youth Music Competition (SJMW) 2024. The group is known for original compositions that blend the complexity of jazz while remaining accessible and engaging for a wide audience.
In 2025, Mateo furthered his musical exploration with the "Cuba 2025" project—a musical immersion in Havana dedicated to Latin jazz and Cuban music under the guidance of renowned professors such as William Roblejo and Portillo Herrera.
